Thank you for visiting! My name is Brett, I am 35 years old, and have progressive-relapsing multiple sclerosis. My friend Christine coined the phrase "broken art" during my first solo art show in Manhattan to raise public support for MS research, and BrokenArtGallery.com was born. The message I hope to convey with my art? That we as a society must learn to be more compassionate and tolerant.

"One of the strongest motives that lead men to art and science is escape
from everyday life with its painful crudity and hopeless dreariness,
from the fetters of one's own ever-shifting desires."

- Albert Einstein (1879-1955)

I hope that my colorful works of art convey my journey with progressive-relapsing multiple sclerosis, the healing Spirit who helps me, and my Declaration of War against Disease. Progressive-relapsing multiple sclerosis has broken me physically, but it has not broken me spiritually, and that has been the more important battle.
